Friends Needed to Help Celebrate a Library Employee!
The Infectious Enthusiasm Award was initiated by The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library five years ago in honor of Terry Cannon, a Library employee at the Allendale Branch whose innovation and creative spirit was much appreciated by patrons and staff. We know there are many Library employees who take that extra step to help patrons find a book, research a topic, or access services. We want to recognize their enthusiasm and work in our community.
Each year members of The Friends are asked to nominate Library employees of any position or branch who have been helpful and attentive to the needs of patrons.
We hope you will participate in this year’s selection. All current, dues-paying members of The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library are eligible to nominate a Library employee who has been of exceptional service to patrons of the Library.
Library employees may be nominated with an email to friendsppl@gmail.com and stating:
- Name of Library employee
- Library Branch where employee works
- Reason for your nomination
- Your name
Selection is by a committee from the Board of Directors of The Friends.
The Friends honors the innovative work of all Library employees in their in-person interactions with readers and learners, and recognizes their efforts throughout the pandemic, the closing of Central Library, and the continuing work required to keep Library services seamless.
Thank you for your thoughtful help in honoring our Pasadena Public Library employees!
