Become a Volunteer
Friends’ volunteers do not work “in the library”, but for the library in so many ways.
These are some of the current opportunities:
- Assist at Friends’ sponsored events such as One City, One Story, Author Talks and new events by helping set up an information table, greeting patrons and selling books by the author
- Help with various tasks related to Book Sales in the Friends; Bookstore at Jefferson Library Branch. Activities such as book sorting, shelving or staffing the store.
- Help with membership mailings twice a year
- Be part of neighborhood events where you live by hosting a table at a Neighborhood Street Party or National Night Out with Friends’ membership brochures
